The Craft Show from South Florida visits Coral Springs
Coral Springs, Florida – Just in time for the holidays, the South Florida Craft Show is making its way to Coral Springs with three fun activities.
On Sunday, October 30, from 12 to 4 p.m., the Halloween Bash will kick off the schedule. It will feature a costume contest, trick-or-treating, music, and a spooky selection of goods from nearby small shops.
The following one, the Holiday Edition, will take place on Saturday, November 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will have a toy drive, a cash bar, and a wide variety of handmade goods.
On Saturday, December 17, from 11 to 4 p.m., South Florida’s Craft Show Christmas Party will take place. A toy distribution event is part of the exhibition, and DJ Elite will play music while refreshments are served. It is encouraged for visitors to arrive wearing their best ugly Christmas sweaters.
The South Florida Craft Show was founded in 2018 by Korina Torres, with the first event taking place at the LaQuinta.
“I’ve had them monthly ever since, and even though pandemic managed to get the shows up and running as soon as the restrictions allowed it, and while observing all the recommendations,” she said.
Presently, Torres hosts events in Delray and Davie, and in 2023, he’ll add Boca Raton and the Coral Springs Sportsplex.
The show will feature small, handcrafted businesses, she continued, and the LaQuinta display area can accommodate 55 vendors.
“Crochet, paper crafters, vinyl businesses, self-care products such as soaps, scrubs, and skincare, artists making stickers, cookies, bonnets, and waist beads, — we have all things you’d find on Etsy, but it’s all local makers,” Torres explained, adding that the vendors at every event are different.
At LaQuinta, a 6-foot table and two chairs cost $100. With a two-hour setup period for vendors, the events normally last four to five hours.
The LaQuinta Inn Coral Springs, which is located at 3701 University Dr., hosts all three performances indoors.
