Miramar, Florida – Two persons were killed after a tiny plane crashed on Monday morning in the backyard of a house in Miramar, according to officials.
While inside the house at the time, a woman and her 2-year-old child were unharmed.
The two passengers on the plane died, according to the authorities. Their names have not yet been made public.
Around 11:45 a.m., the single-engine Aventura II crashed close to North Perry Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
A mechanic had reportedly been working on the little plane on Monday, which had just completed a test flight when it went down.
As a safety measure, the area’s power has been turned off.
Miramar firefighters and police officers arrived on the site.
The Miramar Police Department’s spokesman stated that the National Transportation Safety Board will look into the accident’s causes.
