Coral Springs, Florida – Children in Coral Springs received some holiday cheer.
Coral Springs Police Department for over 20 years made the holidays brighter for local youth by holiday shopping with them on December 6 and December 7.
Police officers were paired with 42 children for holiday shopping, taking place at Target by 441 and Walmart at the Turtle Run Plaza with each child receiving $125 to purchase gifts for themselves and family members.
School officials and officers who work in community outreach programming identified the children.
Funding was provided through a Walmart, and Target grant meant to build stronger bonds in the community.
