Coral Springs Police Starts Traffic Awareness Campaign

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs drivers – slow down, don’t run red lights, strap on your seat belts, and stop driving and texting.

Starting Monday, the Coral Springs Police Department’s Traffic Unit will be out in full force to make sure drivers are following the rules of the road.

As part of the 2020 Traffic Awareness Campaign, officers will be positioned at “highly visible areas of the city that experience a larger volume of traffic accidents,” according to a department social media post.

The post said: “Our goal is to educate, inform, and enforce traffic laws while building strong community relationships. Remember to put down your cell phone, obey the speed limit, and be a courteous driver.”

The campaign will continue for the next few weeks during the busy holiday shopping season.
