Coral Springs, Florida – The City of Coral Springs encourages good citizenship early by offering local children an opportunity to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Eligible to apply for 2022 are children who attend Coral Springs’ various elementary, middle, or high schools — or live in Coral Springs.
Children learn a valuable lesson in civics while attending their first city commission meeting, by leading the pledge.
Children take their photo with Mayor Scott Brook and will also be featured on Coral Springs TV, receive a T-shirt.
Students lead the pledge only at the commission meetings held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6.30 p.m.
The spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. City Hall is located at 9500 W. Sample Road.
